No, you can still use the vacuum if you don't connect it to Wifi. Just if you want to control the vacuum on the EufyHome APP and use the smart assistant, you need to connect it to Wifi first. No. I just use the remote and it works fine. The only thing is the wifi light keeps blinking to encourage you to connect, but if that doesn't bother you it works perfectly with just the remote.

Do you have to have WiFi in order to use this vacuum?

It will support a 2.4ghz wi-fi smart phone.

Hi.  All of our wifi RoboVacs only connect to the 2.4GHz frequency. Make sure you are using a 2.4GHz router or a dual-band router that is configured to support a 2.4GHz frequency band. RoboVac does not support 5GHz frequency band.

Can it work on 5ghz and 2.4ghz wi-fi smart phone?

Yes, this can be used on dark hardwood floors.

Hi. The sensor (drop sensors on the bottom and front sensors on the bumper) of our RoboVac works with the infrared. The floors with a very dark color could interfere with the sensors on the RoboVac. If possible, please contact Eufy customer support (eufylife@support.com) with a floor picture for further check.

I really love this vacuum, it does my house very well, I have 1 dog and 2 cats, it gets all the hair up, it doesn’t have a pattern sensor, but that’s okay by me, and for some reason it won’t hook up to my Wi-Fi, but I only do it when I’m home anyways so it doesn’t matter. I love having the remote so if I need extra cleaning in a room I can direct it there. I just ordered another one for the bottom half of my house. I also love that it docks itself, this is a really good vacuum, and the price is so cheap. I have a friend that has 2 of the really expensive ones, and they don’t do nearly as good, they were impressed with this one.

Love this little machine

I love this vacuum! It was easy to set up on WiFi and I have it scheduled to clean everyday at 11:00.  My floors really look nice.  The dirt collecting bin is easy to empty and holds quite a bit.  It is very quiet and runs a long time before it self docks.  My dog isn't afraid of it.  The price is affordable and well worth the money.

My Buddy the robot vacuum cleaner

This RoboVac can be used without Wifi, which is really helpful. I did not realize just how dusty my tile floors were until I emptied the vacuum and WOW! How have I lived without this my whole life?! It picked up dust, dirt and my Labrador's pet hair very well. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Life and Time Saver!

I have 2 large dogs and was having trouble keeping up all the time with the hair. I am very happy to say that this vacuum is a huge help. I love it. I have vinyl plank flooring and a few small carpets and it gets everything even along the cabinets and under the kitchen table and bar, with all the chairs and stools in the way. I dont see hair anywhere. 
I do wish someone would have said that these vacuums are like a toddler. :) you have to move things that it may get stuck on or knock over. It finds any cords you have loose and gets stuck on them and knocks over my dog gates if its leaning up against the wall. Anyway as you can tell, I love it!! I wish I bought one a long time ago!  I do run it twice a day to keep up but with a push of a button whats the big deal! And I keep the brushes all clean of hair every few days.  The dirt collection box is large enough for my dogs hair and picks up sand as well.  Works with a remote or a phone app. Its quiet and doesnt scare the dogs.

Ive been looking at robot vacuums for months now and finally decided to get this one when it went on sale. Set up was easy, although I couldn't get it to connect to my wifi. Really not a big deal bc it also comes with a remote. The first cleaning seemed a little random and it seemed to go over the same spots a few times. But overall did what it was supposed to. Second run I walked and let it do its thing so Im not sure about the method.  Most importantly though, is that it did not take a nosedive down my stairs!
