Frequently Asked Questions

How do you charge them?

To charge your Beats Studio Buds, place them in the charging case. When you need to charge both the earbuds and the case, place the earbuds in the case and connect the case to a power source with the USB-C cable that's included with your Beats Studio Buds. You can also charge the case without the earbuds. (Note: USB-C power adapter sold separately).

How do you turn them on and off?

Beats Studio Buds automatically power on when they are removed from the case, and power off when placed back in the case with the lid closed.

Can you control your music?

Beats Studio Buds feature a multi-function button on each earbud. Press once to play or pause, twice to skip forward, or three times to skip backward.

How do you control noise cancelling?

Hold the multi-function button down to toggle between Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and Transparency mode.

How do I improve the comfort, stability, and sound quality of your Beats Studio Buds?

Beats earphones come with several sets of eartips. Choose the pair that's most comfortable and provides the best sound experience for you. If your earphones don't already have eartips attached, choose a set of eartips and attach them. Then gently insert the eartip into your ear. You can adjust the eartip until it feels secure. To remove the eartip from your ear, twist the earphone gently and pull it away from your ear.

How do I activate Siri or other voice assistants?

On Apple devices, you can activate Siri hands-free just by saying “Hey Siri”. Or, change the function of the multi-function button to activate your voice assistant within your iOS settings. On Android, download the Beats app to change the function of the multi-function button to activate the default voice assistant on your device.

How do I configure the multi-function button?

You can configure the multi-function button to either toggle ANC modes or activate voice assistant. To do this in iOS, tap on the product icon in Control Center and select the “Press and hold” menu to choose your preferred function for each earbud. To do this on Android, download the Beats app from Google Play. Once your product is paired in the app, select the “Press and hold” menu in the product page to choose your preferred function for each earbud.

How long does the battery last?

Beats Studio Buds can provide up to 8 hours of listening time with ANC turned off, or up to 5 hours of listening time with ANC turned on. The case holds two additional charges for a combined total of 24 hours with ANC off, or 15 hours with ANC on.

Do they have a microphone?

Beats Studio Buds have multiple microphones on each earbud enabling high-quality call performance. Each earbud has 2 microphones dedicated to ANC and 1 dedicated to voice pickup.

How do I pair with my iPhone?

Beats Studio Buds are ready to pair right out of the box. On iPhone running the latest iOS, simply open the lid of the case, hold near unlocked phone, and follow on-screen instructions.

How do I pair with my Android device?

On Android, you can pair your product in a single tap using Google Fast Pair. In order to access the feature, you must have Android 6.0 or later, location enabled, and access to Google Play Services. If you meet those requirements, simply open the lid of the case, hold near unlocked phone, and follow on-screen instructions. You can also pair your product in the standard Bluetooth menu.

How do I pair with my Mac or with another device that uses Bluetooth?

Make sure that you turned on Bluetooth on your Mac or other device. With the case lid open, hold your Beats Studio Buds next to your Mac or other device. Press and hold the system button on the charging case until the LED blinks. Open the Bluetooth menu on your Mac or other device. For example, on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. In the list of discovered Bluetooth devices, tap or click your Beats Studio Buds.

How do I pair with additional Bluetooth devices?

To pair to additional devices, place the earbuds in the case with the lid open. Then hold down the small circular button until the LED begins to flash. Beats Studio Buds are now in pairing mode and can be paired to any standard Bluetooth device.

Can I wear just one earbud?

Yes, you can use either earbud independently.

How waterproof / water resistant are these?

Beats Studio Buds are rated IPX4, which means they are resistant to sweat and water splashing from any direction. The case is not sweat or water resistant.

How do I keep my product up to date?

Software updates will occasionally be made available to enable new features or improve the product experience. These ‘silent’ updates are automatically enabled when connected to an Apple device. To stay up to date on an Android device, download the Beats app from Google Play.

Comfortable, great sound, and perfect amount of active noise cancellation
I ordered these on sale after my favorite earbuds’ case stopped reliably charging and found they had been discontinued. I have a hard time finding earbuds that stay in and don’t hurt my ears. I have a set of Bose over ear anc headphones, but I like having earbuds because I can stick them in my purse or pocket and always have them handy. I was really skeptical of these because I figured they were more branding and hype than performance- but I was pleasantly surprised. These have a lot more clarity of sound than I had expected in the high and mid ranges. I was afraid they would be very bass heavy at the expense of higher ranges, and was pleased that this wasn’t the case.Pros- 1. comfortable fit. I can wear these all day without my ears hurting. 2. Good sound quality. They are not Bose quality sound, but they also aren’t Bose prices. 3. Smooth Apple connectivity - this is the most noticeable difference compared to my other favorite earbuds. These connect easily and smoothly and work with Siri in ways my other earbuds wouldn’t. 4. Noise cancellation- great noise cancellation without completely drowning everything out. I sometimes use these in louder environments because the active noise cancellation works great to dampen loud environmental noises. I highly recommend these if you are someone who, like me, gets sensory overload when there is too much noise. These don’t have a noticeable humming/buzzing noise like I notice with Bose’ anc.Cons- 1. overly touchy controls on the earbuds. I have accidentally hung up on people several times when trying to adjust an earbud. 2. Definitely worth every penny of the sale price - I’m not sure I would pay the full ticket price for these but if you can catch them on sale, grab them. There are earbuds of comparable sound quality for substantially less cost, but these are definitely higher end sound. I would not consider them audiophile quality if that is what you are looking for, but they deliver a good, solid, quality sound. 3. Charging case- the charging case closes firmly, opens easily, and the slim rounded design means they fit in your pocket without being bulky.Overall, I love these and I have purchased so many earbuds that I end up never using because they either hurt my ears, fall out too easily, or have terrible sound quality. I can listen to music, videos, movies, and audiobooks and the sound quality works and transitions well for all of these different media types.

I love these earbuds. They feel definitely worth the price and a all around great buy. Giving me exactly what I was looking for.

For years I have used the raycon E55 and some of the features I loved about raycon was the manual button in the earbuds, excessive bass and great inside-ear fit.
Recently however, raycon has gone the way of the world— they have put sensors on the earbuds in the place of buttons and Balanced out the audio. So I began my search for new earbuds.

    —THE SOUND—
Both the AirPods, galaxybuds and raycons I have tried tend to be balanced and prioritize giving equal notes to all instruments For a clear and concise sound, But to someone who is not an audiophile it sounds very flat and devoid of the punch that I desire. For me- I want it to be great sounding but also noticeably bass heavy. These Beats Studio buds deliver. The company recognizes that your not using these to analyze a song. These are for the people who like bass and want to feel some gravitas in their ears!

    —CONNECTIVITY—
These connect effortlessly to iPhone, as if they were AirPods. It was the single biggest factor that blew me away with these. They are incredibly easy to connect. I cannot speak for android but these work great. They do not have a lot of audio adjustments like Bose but I frankly don’t need them to. You can easily see the battery state on both buds and the case from a pop up window in your apple home screen whenever opening the case, just like AirPods.

    —FIT—
The fit is not as good as the raycon E55 but only by a little bit. They fit snuggly in your ears well enough that they do not fall off when running and working out. Although adjustments might need to be made to them occasionally. (I have small ears, so the fit is review as such)

    —THE CONTROLS—
The controls are simple and straightforward. They are just like what you come to expect from earbuds. Single tap, double tap, triple tap.
The earbuds HAVE AN ACTUAL BUTTON… which I thought was extinct, I personally hate the sensor buttons because adjusting your earbuds in your ears would trigger the controls.
While these do have a very sensitive physical button— it is easy to avoid while adjusting with practice.

    —BATTERY—
The battery lasts me all day, what more do you want?

    —RANGE—
    Very good, about 30+ feet

    —CONS—
    -no MagSafe compatible charging
-fit isn’t as perfect as some brands but is really good
-if your an audiophile these earbuds are not balanced

    Final call-
If you like bass, and hate the sensor controls on most earbuds— these very well could be the best earbuds you could get. These are on par with earbuds in the 200$ range. And if your anything like me, you will love them! And if not, they might still be worth it to you

    —UPDATE—
they have a hard time staying in when working out, and so I had to buy wing tips for these. They automatically have active noise cancellation on when you take them out of the case… which I personally hate.
And the cases battery is pretty short lived… only lasts two days generally

5.0 out of 5 stars My honest review

I’ve had these headphone for over a year so I’ve compiled a pros and cons list.

    Pros:
    - battery life: This thing lasts so long (even longer than my brothers AirPods)
    - sounds quality: sounds amazing and clear!
    - comfort: I find them really comfortable (I’ve literally slept wearing these) and I find these never fall out.
    - noise reduction: such a blessing I never knew I needed (especially at the gym)
    - cost: super affordable compared to other brands
    - look: I love the look of these and how small they are vs some other bulky looking ear buds
    - pairing: I love how quick and easy it is to pair with my phone. No need to worry about setting it up every time
    - Display: I love how you can see how much battery is left right from your phone

    Cons:
    - phone calls: this was the biggest con for me since this was half the reason I bought them. I simply cannot take any home calls because no one can hear me
    - accessories: this one is more of a personal con but there aren’t a lot of cute cases for it (if that’s some thing you care about)
    - buttons: the way they set up volume is a bit weird to me so I normally control volume straight from my phone
