These containers are not intended for cooking.
      Excessive reheating time in the microwave may damage the container. Open latches to allow steam to vent when microwaving, this will also prevent splatter. Reheating implies the maximum short term service temperature of a Rubbermaid container is 165°F followed by a cool down period. Maintaining temperatures at 165°F or higher for more than 30 seconds is considered cooking, and is outside the intended use of these products.

I got caught on the organizing train, as many. That might be the reason why some of this containers are hard to find or prices went up.  Walmart has a great variety and awesome prices. The containers are awesome, classy, easy to wash, non spilling, beautiful to look at, and they make my pantry and refrigerator look so much better than before!

Storage Containers clean and Helpful

The efficient design of containers gave us so much more fridge space.  Our fridge looks orderly and almost futuristic now! I love how they stack and you can see the food.  We have done better eating leftovers.  They are far more space efficient than round containers.  The food looks appealing.  The seals are excellent: There are NO leaks or accidents in the lunches for the kids as long as you do not overfill them. They can open/close them no problem, also.  I also like that the lids do double duty for two sizes and the containers stack in the cupboard like a dream. 

I was familiar with the product. We had about 5 of the largest size and they have aged very well over the last few years.  I held them up to the new ones and it is hard to tell them apart.  I use them in fridge and freezer, but not in microwave.  Heat is hard on plastic and I do not like putting plastic in the micro because it can leech in the food, even though these say you can. With no microwaving I have had none of the cracking damage others have complained about.  I do put them through the dishwasher and that seems to have no bad effects, even on the rubber seals.

In Love with these Space Age Fridge Containers!

Let me start by saying I love this product. It has allowed us to transition away from the mess of storing left overs to a very organized way. The see thru containers, the multifunction are all great pluses for me. 
My issue comes that it appears after 6 to 8 months there starts to be a breakdown in the material. It started with small micro fractures and end with a large crack, that renders the product unusable. I am highly disappointed as we love the product, but it was expensive. We made an investment and it has failed us.

I have purchased a set of these twice. The first time my containers lasted a good year before any concerns arose. Then we started noticing them cracking. So we got a new set because we liked them so much. The new set lasted approximately 4 months before we started noticing cracking. Many of the cracks turned into full on brakes like a hairline fracture. We loved these containers but would like better durability. We only hamd washed them and they didn't have a lot of microwave use. We think we will be going with glass next.

This is not a lifetime storage option

I purchase this large set and liked it so much that I asked for another set for a gift. I have had them for about 6 months. I do not have a dishwasher so all are hand wash. I do not put in the freezer. When using in the microwave they are vented. I have 6 that have cracks large enough that the liquid leaks out.  I expected them to last much longer. I have Tupperware that is 20 years old except they are stained. That's one of the reason I wanted these. Not a happy consumer.

Not worth the money

We purchased several sets of these and have used them regularly for about a year. Recently we have had 2 of the pieces crack all the way through. The first one we figured was a fluke, the second one, there are internal stress issues or something that happens over time. For the cost and cost to the environment I expect several years worth of use before failures like this.

Too short if life

I ordered a sixteen piece of brilliance storage containers and only received fourteen pieces in the box. I have two lids with no containers for them, as you can see in the picture below. I would like very much to get what I paid for!!!

I washed the containers in the top rack of the dishwasher before using them, and one of them cracked immediately before I ever got to use it. The product is marked as dishwasher safe, but is clearly not.
