Love this Pioneer Woman knife block. The wood is beautifully crafted. The handles of the knives are weighted well. The color blue is very pretty. All the knives were well sharpened except the steak knives were a little dull. Overall a good investment on knives that will last a long time.

Sharp knives and awesome block. The blades extend the entire length of the handle allowing for better grip and control. The knives themselves are sharp and of very high quality. I appreciate the knife block's custom slots for each of the knives. Handles hold comfortably for longer use. Would recommend this set!

Sharp and Great Knives

There is nothing I don't like about this set!
The Pioneer Woman knives with their beautiful block are a great addition to any kitchen. These knives are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, making them perfect for both everyday use and for entertaining guests.
The set comes with 14 pieces, including a chef's knife, bread knife, utility knife, paring knife, and steak knives, as well as a pair of scissors . Each knife is made with high-quality stainless steel and very comfortable handles. 
The block itself is gorgeous!. It's made of acacia wood and has a beautiful rustic finish that looks great on the counter.
In terms of functionality, these knives are top-notch. They're well balanced and have a comfortable grip, which makes them easy to use for extended periods without causing any strain. The sharp blades make it easy to slice through meat, bread, and vegetables with ease, and the serrated edge on the bread knife makes it easy to cut through crusty bread without squishing it.
Overall, the Pioneer Woman knives with their beautiful block are an excellent choice for anyone looking for a functional and stylish knife set. The combination of high-quality materials, beautiful design, and sharp blades make this set a must-have for any kitchen

Gorgeous functional knives

The first thing I noticed is that the blade steel extends all the way through the handle of this set of knives. This is a sign of high quality construction!

The variety of knife sizes and functions is nice with symbols on the handle for quick identification. The block is well designed and solidly built for blade protection and storage. This set even includes a pair of kitchen shears that we use almost daily.

Sharp Blades and Design

I must admit that I was a little apprehensive about these knives at first, but I was so wrong! They are very sharp, and easy to resharpen. They're easy to clean (hand wash only). They're light, and the handle feels really good to the hand while using. The block is excellent quality. I love the designs. I only wish there were a built in sharpener. 10/10 would recommend!

This is a nice set for the price but I've got 30 year old Cutco knives that I prefer using over these. These are extremely high maintenance. The instructions say to hand wash thoroughly in hot water using a mild soap or detergent and non-abrasive sponge. Rinse in clean, hot water and towel dry immediately to prevent blades from corrosion. Automatic dishwashers are not recommended as the heat and detergent can damage or stain the blades.
The instructions also say to not allow the cutlery to soak in water and do not allow acidic or salty foods and liquids to sit on the blades after use. Allowing these types of substances to sit on the blades can cause staining. Should the blades show signs of staining, use a non-abrasive metal polish to remove the stains.
They recommend using a sharpening steel between each use. For me this is too much work for kitchen utinsels.
I like the smooth edge of the paring knife. It is very sharp. However I do not like the fine serated edge of the 5" utility knife. I attached a picture of it next to my Cutco knife which has a wider serated edge and cuts much easier. The scissors are a good heavy product.
It's a nice looking set. The handles are comfortable to work with. The block is nice. However if you are looking for a high quality set without much up keep I would not recommend this one.

High maintenance

The color of the wood block is not stained all the way around. It's not the type of wood since you can see the stain marks it's just unfinished. They sanded too much over the stain removing some of it

I've had these knifes for 2 weeks. I don't have a dishwasher and wouldn't put them in there if I did have, always wash and dry them immediately after use   The knifes are never submerged in water and the handles are already splitting. I am shocked for such a well known brand the quality is this bad.

Not the quality I expected

It is almost exactly as pictured. When I got done unboxing and washing the knives, I noticed sizeable cracks that definitely don't look intentional going down the block. It would be such a pain to return it now after getting it all set up for an ultimately cosmetic problem, but I am still upset at having such an obvious flaw in something I paid a not insignificant amount of money for.
