We purchased this for our daughter's 7th birthday. It was her only gift because it was a higher ticket item. I would say now, 7 months later, that it was a good choice and worth the price. She still plays with it and learns new things almost daily.

We purchased it and did the big reveal at a hotel. One thing that is notable is the smoke inside the dome smells like real smoke (so watch your smoke detectors or if you have someone sensitive to such things maybe don't use that). You can also do the reveal over and over and the smoke lasts quite a while. More is also available for purchase. 

The reveal definitely took a village. Ha. I don't think most 4-7 year olds would be able to figure it out without an adults help. That said, we all had fun with it. After that, our 7 year old figured out all of the tricks and what not on her own. 

The batteries lasted a pretty long time, we have only replaced them once. The mixie can only be spot cleaned, so at this point ours looks a little rough. But she still loves her. Recommend overall. Our boys like it too.

Worth the price, she still uses it months later!

My granddaughter absolutely loves this birthday gift. Her smile is what makes this even more special.

My grandchildren loved this toy! It was a little complicated to figure out but we did eventually and it was worth it!

Lots of family fun

My 4yr old loved it!  The whole experience of creating your Magic Mixie is awesome.. very magical!  The only downfall was the batteries in the magic mixie died after only 1 day. They were easy to replace but it was annoying that it had to be done so soon. When you're paying this much I would expect for the batteries to last longer.

Opened box and everything is wet on the outside and inside the crystal ball. This is a Christmas gift so I don’t know if I’ll take the entire thing apart to find the leak. I guess it’s whatever makes it mist. Super disappointing.

Leaking inside

Did not work on Christmas morning. Made sure to follow the instructions but nothing happened. It was handled safely because I read other reviews that said the mist didn't work and thought maybe it wasn't handled properly. Come Christmas morning after trying several times, we noticed the crystal ball had leakage on the inside. Very disappointed. Especially because I took all the precautions and the price of this item isn't cheap. I'll be asking for a refund.

The Magic Mixies Crystal Ball your didn't work at all of of the box. Tried replacing batteries but nothing. There was an oily coating inside the crystal ball that I can only some was the mist material that leaked out.
It's going back to the store.

The saddest part about it was that this was a gift from Santa so that just makes it worse.

Didn't work at all

First use was a horrible experience. There was no smoke when the doll came out then the doll started glitching repeating one word over and over and it wasn't responding to any thing. I had to turn off the doll and replace the dolls batteries after that it seem to work well so thought to then replace the batteries in the ball to see if I could get the smoke to work. Smoke worked after battery replacement of the dead/low batteries it came with. My daughter likes it now that I got it to work so I hope it lasts. I personally wouldn't purchase again. I don't think it's worth the money.
