I installed it myself and connected it to the existing doorbell rather than run it on the battery.
The only thing I do not like about this product is that I have not found the sweet spot between capturing a person's approach to the door and not having the street trafic activate the motion sensor.
Every once in awhile the video shows in black and white rather than in color. This could be due to strained wifi service.
Overall the video and images are clear, they are immediate accessible and shareable. The real time monitoring works great and you can speak to the person at the door through this system to.
The primary reason I went with this brand was to avoid a monitoring fee that I thought was not needed since I have a security system.
All in all I think I made a great choice and would recommend this to anyone.
Price was also a driving force - I wanted a great doorbell that wasn't too bulky, allowed me flexibility in install locations and was flexible to be expanded as time and entries expand. This was on sale for ~$140. Great deal.
To make this easy - I'll break it down into a few categories and just give my personal stance.
1. Price - Great (~$140)
2. Ease of Install - Great
3. Expandability - Great (<3 min.)
4. Integration to SmartHome - Fantastic (Alexa)
5. Camera Functions - Very Good (Not perfect - sometimes our dog is a 'human' and I've gotten an alert.)
5a. Voice - Works well
5b. Phone App & Notifications work great
5c. Free on-prem storage (No subscription)
5d. Build Quality - Great and secure - feels nice and has locking key
Overall - I would buy again.
It seems to have improved over time. It has a very high success rate with few false notifications.
New problem, the app uses lots of battery power. Checking online other have reported the issue since the last firmware update. They said it was good before then so hopefully it will be a relatively quick and easy update.
Old review
The motion detector is inconsistent. It will occasional pick up a car driving by about a third of the time it does not detect me when I walk into the house.
The picture quality is not consistently good. I expected more from a 2K camera. But, sometimes they are very good so if the software gets an update to focus quickier maybe that improves?
The night vision is good up to about 5 feet and then loses effectiveness rapidly.
The install was relatively easy. I wired it to an existing doorbell with no problem. I am not particularly good at knowing craftsman things but I am very good at following clearly written instructions. The installation instructions were not a problem.
Initially the camera was more picking and events at all. I changed the sensitivity to maximum and that helped. It picks up people about 2/3 of the time. I would estimate that is the 15 events yesterday 8 were actual (including a cars driving by) and 7 did not have an obvious reason why the were captured. I would be fine with the false alarms if it was always capturing when people come to the door but that is not currently the case.
I have not tried the intercom yet.
The instructions for adjusting the camera settings all started from after you were in the settings menu. It was not clear to me how to get into the camera settings. One I figured that out it was easy but start instructions from the main screen.
I have not been able to download videos yet. There is a "download" button that seems to start the download. But the download progress indicator does not show progress. I have not tried it much so hopefully I figure that out soon.
I like the unit as something to experiment with. I am satisfied with it for my purposes but I would be disappointed if I bought it to improve security. It just is not good enough at detecting motion yet. Hopefully that improves with software updates.
I attached a photo to show my entryway. It seems like I should be able to set the sensor to low sensitivity and detect anyone approaching but that was not the case. At normal sensitivity it would not activate. At the highest sensitivity it has started detecting me about 2/3 of the time. It occasionally picks up a car driving past on the street in front of my house which is pretty amazing and shows the sensor works. But, how did does it not detect people who are channeled close to the unit with a stable background?

Installation instructions leave something to be desired. Don't be fooled as I was, the "Quick Start" guide does NOT tell you to download the software and then bring the base within 5 feet of the camera to sync. It DOES tell you to sync them. Once you download instructions from the internet you then see that they need to be in proximity. Morale of the story is you need the instructions from the online source.
I didn't like the very limited amount of room between the camera and my bell wires either. It wouldn't take much of a tweak to open that up a bit. Not everyone can add more room to the space on the wall where the camera hangs. Mine fits and charges but it is really tight.
Overall great product just follow the instructions carefully. Would have been up and running in 30 minutes but instead took me 2-1/2 hours due to not getting connection while base was 50 feet and two walls away from camera. DOH!
