I used to have a Roomba vacuum that I really enjoyed for convenience. I bought the Yeedi because I wanted to try something with a self-emptying capability.
I love how quiet the robot is as it goes through the house. If I have other things going on in the house, I can’t even tell it is working. This vacuum is way better, in my opinion.
There’s a cool ability to control the map on the yeedi, once it has run a few times. This is great if you have an area you don’t want to be disturbed or bumped.
I recognize that these vacuums aren’t as good as your standard push vacs. However, the reason you’d want to get one of these guys is because it will pick up dust and pet hair on a daily basis, without complaining. It can miss some crumbs but overall does what I expect it to do.
The only reason I give the Yeedi a 4star rating is because the self cleaning tower does not empty the bin very well. If you are looking at this vacuum, I’d personally stick to the robot itself and skip the tower. Carpet fibers and pet hair can easily block the holes the tower uses for suction. IF your home is pet free and you have only wood or hard surfaces that you want to keep free from crumbs and dust, the tower should be a friend.
The Yeedi also comes with the option to mop the floor. I find this to be an awesome idea, but a function I admittedly haven’t used. I have a floor that is combination carpet and hard surfaces and I haven’t taken the time to create a mopping map.
Overall, I’d recommend this vacuum for convenience on a daily basis. If you’re looking for a deep carpet clean that a handheld vacuum gives, I’d stick to a handheld. I have purchased two of these vacuums, so you know which I prefer.
