Reality shows and the realty business in the Lone Star State are having a moment.

On the heels of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star Tracy Tutor of Douglas Elliman and HGTV’s reality show “Flip to a Million,” both heading to Dallas to shoot episodes, there’s news of a new team up involving HBO Max in Houston.

A star from HBO Max’s “House of Ho” — a reality show that follows the Vietnamese-American Ho family who made their fortune in real estate and banking in the Bayou City — is leveraging his reality star status in the real estate world.

Washington Ho, the youngest son of Binh and Hue Ho, the patriarch and matriarch of the tight-knit Ho family, has co-founded a new company dubbed The Real Estate Team, and teamed up with Realty.com.

Ho’s co-founders are Camelot Realty agent Julia Gibson, who will be the “team lead” for The Real Estate Team, and long-time Houston-based residential home builder Bernie Kane.

According to a press release, the Real Estate Team will leverage Realty.com’s data and technology platform to connect luxury homebuyers and real estate professionals.

As for the second season of “House of Ho,” Ho says it will tell the story of “how to build a winning team culture and help guide every renter into home ownership.”

This exclusive partnership with Realty.com will help execute his vision, Ho said.

Financial terms of The Real Estate Team’s agreement with Realty.com were not disclosed.
