Fantastic

I first started using Differin when I was 15 and was on and off of it for a little while. I'm now 23, I've been using it consistently for the past 5 years, and I can safely say that I'll probably still be using it another 5 years from now. I recommend this to everyone because it's the staple of my skincare routine. I put it on every night before bed and my acne is almost always under control. I like to keep my skincare routine simple so with the combination of differin and spf, my skin looks the best that I think it possibly can. It faded all of my acne scars, it prevents breakouts, keeps my skin clear and smooth, and what's great is that anyone can get it now since it's over the counter! I would highly recommend trying this out, and if you do, stick to it, be consistent, and be patient! It will be worth it in the long run!

I've been using this since February 2020 and it has cleared up my acne. I still have some acne scars but they're slowly fading away. I was mostly clear by the 3 month mark and it got better from there. 

I did not experience a purging period with this but I hear some people do. I've used benzoyl peroxide and retina before and I think this worked better and it doesn't bleach my sheets. 

I do still get the occasional premenstrual breakout but as long as I use this consistently it goes away pretty quickly. Some days my skin can feel a little dry so I skip applying it at night and just add extra moisturizer and continue the next day.

You only need to apply a pea-sized amount at night. I find this tiny tube lasts me about 2 to 3 months before I need to get a refill.

Works better the longer you use it

I was very skeptical about these retinoid things and skincare in general. I just wanted to have clear, acne-free skin asap. I read almost if not everything about home remedies, watched so many YouTube videos, did my own research and then I found out about Differin. I never heard of this brand ever before so I gave it a try. I was really scared about the purging period so I postponed using this product so many times. When I first started using this product I was like okay bestie this ain't bad and THEN it hit me. I am just writing this to let everyone know the purge is a real thing but it'll go away for sure. This treatment helped me gain my confidence back. You can imagine how down I felt every day, walking with head down facing the ground, etc... now I finally can walk up straight. Sure it doesn't help you with your previous acne scars, there are other treatments, but it can prevent from new ones. I have been using this product for almost a year now every day, with no break! That's why I am writing this review just now. Please, do give this product a try and be consistent.

Great for all kinds of acne! I've gone to the dermatologist for so long and this is the spot treatment they recommended and it works great! It soothes my skin and minimizes my blemishes and works great if you want to put makeup over it!

Skin Saver!

I've used many different acne products throughout my teen and adult years, and the Differin Acne Treatment Gel, Retinoid Treatment for Face with 0.1% Adapalene is by far one of my absolute favorites. I like to put the gel on my pimples at night before going to sleep and in the morning when the gel has dried, it usually pulls the whitehead right to the surface of my skin, so that all I have to do is either scrub it a little harder when I wash my face to get the whitehead out, or put a pimple patch on it and wait a few hours for that to fully pull the whitehead out. This product has a few drawbacks, one is that after using it on a pimple it can leave skin extra dry and flaky in that area for a few days (even for someone like me, who has naturally oily skin). Another drawback is how much packaging is wasted, this item is only 0.5oz and comes in an unnecessarily big box. The final drawback is the amount of product you get for the price, 0.5oz seems like a very small tube of product for how expensive it is.

Best product I've found to dry out pimples!

This differin gel is technically used for acne purposes but I've found that it also helps my fine lines on my forehead. It's the only place I apply it currently. I use the sandwich method because it's quite drying (cream like cerave in a tub on freshly washed skin, let it dry down, apply the differin gel, and then reapply cerave). It's imperative you use sunscreen with this product as well.

Might be useful for fine lines

It's cool that the product is so small despite the huge packaging... Since mine is almost done, I decided to buy it again because I genuinely loved it. My face gets irritated and I have dry, flaky skin on my chin, which is where I get the majority of my pimples, so I need to be careful not to use too many different acne treatments. I'm not certain which product is to blame (hopefully not this one!). I always had dry and flaky skin around my nose and mouth area and my only consistent product is this one. I'm switching up my skincare regimen to see which one works best for me. But so far I think this is good!

I haven't even used it yet but i opened the box and this is what i see. in their images it's clearly shown as larger so that's just misleading and wrong.
