Far exceeded my expectations with a couple minor things to keep in mind

Far exceeded my expectations with a couple minor things to keep in mind
Loving this machine - with a couple very minor complaints. The most important thing: the machine makes truly excellent espresso. The build quality is exceptional. It reminds me of the early builds of the Keurig k-cup machines before they started cutting corners. I love that the machine dispenses used cups into a bin, unseen in the machine, that you can later empty after a dozen uses. The controls are very simple and easy to use. The frother really is great... better than the expensive stand-alone frothers I've bought and much easier to clean. I think this is down to it injecting air in addition to stirring. I also love that you can run the frother independently of the brewer. There is a nice light that comes on in the water tank when you turn it on to easily see your water level. The tank holds a lot of water, considering how little you use for brews it lasts a very long time. Excess water is expelled after a brew is finished and is emptied when you empty your cup bin. This whole brew system was just very well thought out - and I can't imagine anything about that I'd change.... except...There are a couple of caveats to consider. The biggest of which is to consider there is only ONE maker of coffee for this machine; LaVazza. The bright side is they make exceptional coffee. Add to that, they only make 4 options. That said, they truly are great and I have no complaints. It's phenomenal coffee (just read the reviews) and it's very well priced. But if you buy into this system, you are beholden to them, their prices, their products and of course, them continuing to manufacture the cups. There isn't a large market like there is for regular k-cups. This really is an unknown. As another reviewer has pointed out and well documented the frother cup is cheap plastic. It's my only real complaint about this machine. It should be glass. Plastic will lead to wear and tear. It's a shame, but it's not expensive to replace from the Keurig website when the time comes. Mine doesn't show any sign or wear yet, but I have no doubt it will at some point. Not a complaint, but something to keep in mind... ignore the product dimensions. You need a full 16" height to open the machine to put in a cup. This may be important to anyone who has even slightly low hanging cabinets. Unlike the regular Keurig machines you cannot open the bay partially to insert a cup, you need the full open position to insert a cup in this machine. I've measured for this review, and it's just a smidge over 16". I wanted to put another k-cup drawer under this machine as I have under my regular Keurig, but I can't. Even though it is much shorter and there appears to be far more room than is necessary you need all that room above the machine to lift it open. Keep that in mind when considering your counter space and position. My issues are minor and I'm overwhelming impressed with this machine and it's ability, and the coffee! I'd put this against a much more expensive, complicated to use, difficult to clean machine, any day.
