I've tried other ciders on the market but keep coming back to this one. I love its beautifully balanced apple flavor that reminds me of fresh apples. No bitter after taste or cloudiness either.
I used to be able to access farmstands in the Hudson Valley until my friend sold her country house, so I was used to being able to purchase excellent farmstand cider.
This was a decent substitute. I NEED to drink real cider in the fall since I grew up in the Hudson Valley.
I am an apple cider hunter. I'll try any apple cider anywhere I can find it. I base it on a local apple orchard here in VA that presses it into bottles. Literally, no other steps.
Red Jacket was a close to non-pasturized apple cider as i've ever tasted. Whole Foods sells a cheaper version that i tried that's perfectly acceptable, but it's not even close to as good as Red Jacket. You need to know what you're getting with apple cider like this, it will be different from batch to batch, it is based on the apples they press, so it'll be different, but it's as good as anything short of orchard pressed i've ever tasted. I'm ordering more !
