Thanks you Julie. Your book made ne realize that I have been living a somewhat Wabi Sabi life for much of my 85 years and didn't know it. My home has that French laid back, rough linen and muted colors, my own painted art work shows old things, rocks, sticks and I have bought several old homes with beautiful cracked plaster and bubble window glass. What is more unusual, is that I also, somehow acquired a Japanese partner who didn't understand what Wabi Sabi art was.

Spine not esthetically pleasing
Returning because while the book ia great, I want my books to be pleasing to the eye while stacked too, which this is not. At first I thought they forgot to put a spine cover on!

Great coffee table book for minimal living / hosting

I bought this book once I learned of the “wabi-sabi” ways and loved reading about how to host and this type of living. I only wish there were more pictures throughout as the photography is gorgeous, but overall a great coffee table book or if you’re looking to be more minimal in life and be a better host.
