It's like the real thing, because it is the real thing. Classic Peanut B. and Jelly delicious morning toast, or old-fashioned grilled cheese. It's soft, fluffy and tasty, just like gluten-free bread is supposed to be. Made with stuff you can pronounce and ingredients you recognize.

I’m mystified that people give this bread a high rating. Rudi’s and Udi’s seems to have replaced better options like 3 Bakers GF bread. Rudi’s breads are grainy and flavorless and don’t even make adequate vehicles for butter. Don’t settle for this cheaply-made reconstituted dust.
We have bought this bread at Costco and love it. Have not been able to find it so looked on line. I received it and to be honest it was not fresh. I think it was frozen and it came thawed out. My husband toasts it so it is ok but in order to use it I had to freeze it and it is not too soft and fresh as the ones I bought at Costco.
My wife loves it and now we don't have to go to various stores to find it and the its frozen. The bread is delivered in a very timely manner and it's fresh!
Taste is actually pretty good for a gluten free bread but taste doesn’t really matter to me when each slice pulls apart with extreme ease. Even gently pulling a slice out of the bag will result in a tear more often than not. Toasting it makes it hold a bit better but still not good. Really a shame since I like the taste.
Like Rudi's a lot, especially the Multigrain, but all gluten free products seem to be a priced to make an unfair killling, as they cost at least twice what gluten breads cost and sometimes much more than that. All the excuses about dedicated machinery for it may be more true at first, but for only until that machinery is depreciated(very fast at these prices), then it is just like any other bread making system and should not cost any more to make it. But, what "new" health food product is reasonably priced? We are such suckers. I now bake most of my own using Bob's so I can add other ingredients like dried berries, nuts, seeds, flax, buckwheat flour, etc. In 5 years all this will be behind us, as gluten free will be mainstream and more reasonably priced.
