WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.9.10: what’s new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.9.10.

In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.9 update, we talked about a communities tab, a new place available in a future update that groups all your communities and the ones you are added into. This month, we have also announced the communities tab to come on a future version of WhatsApp beta for iOS, and we can finally show you the same screenshot but taken from the Android build:
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is working on bringing the communities tab to the Android version as well. It is the same screenshot published in the previous changelog for iOS, but this is a confirmation that they are really planning to introduce the communities tab.
You can understand from the screenshot that, when the feature will be released to everyone, the company plans to remove the camera tab. We do not know if they want to move it to a different part of the app but that is their actual plan.
In addition, you can also learn from the screenshot that communities help you bring your related groups together, and any communities you have created or get added to will show up in this new tab.
Unfortunately, a release date is unknown, so we do not know when WhatsApp plans to release the feature. Note that communities will also help you manage your groups better by using special admin tools. Probably we will discover more when new updates are released for WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.
