I ordered this a couple days ago on the Black Friday sale. I got it for my bedroom, and I think I plan on getting one for my living room as well. super easy to install literally all you have to do is plug it in. I used the advice I seen on an online review, which was to sign up for a Roku account prior to installing, because you will have to log into your account during the install. you do need to have a card on file in order to have this account, in case you do decide to purchase any movies packages, which by the way you are able to add a pin, that way nobody can purchase without the pin. I love that feature! I installed this on my bedroom TV in under 5 minutes logged in to my Netflix and Hulu and we were watching right away. highly recommended, super easy, works great! the price is awesome! like I said I got it on Black Friday sale, but full price it's still an awesome deal!

Arrived quickly. Easy to install and use. Was not able to hook up tomy old tv, but did to my old xbox. Well worth the price.

Perfect for all streaming services and watching news in your area. Just get it, You won't regret it!! I've had Roku for  7 years and never had an issue! Besides when I lose the remote! If you have a smart phone no worry's. The Roku app got you covered with the remote on there. I can go into any of my Roku devices and change the channel or shut the tv off. It's amazing!

Roku Is The BEST!

Love this product! We have a 14 yo television that is wall mounted. Not a Smart tv. When we switched to fiber net we had to get an adapter to receive internet apps. It was recommended that we get a Roku. I opted for the stick sue to the location. We are extremely happy with it. Easy to set up and operate. It even has voice commands.

What's not to like.   Over time since 2015, I had purchased 4 Roku devices--the express version. This is my first Stick.  The setup for the Stick in my opinion was much easier than the Roku Express.  Took me back to plug n play.  I love the fact there are no wires showing and "technically" turns my dumb tv into a Roku TV with the option of switching to watch local tv through my antenna--which I also have.  I can program the Roku remote control to turn my dumb TV on/off--volume up/down and "I can talk into it" and IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY. What's great is the Roku channel coupled with the Live TV option through the setup and how I customized my page to my liking.  I think these would be great to give as gifts to family and friends.

Cut the Chord-Beats Its Competition

I had this for 3 months now it’s fast when moving from apps to apps on your tv even if you don’t have a smart tv , if you reading this I would buy it! Update from me (2023) *

I am happy that I got this Roku, but it could be better. It doesn't light up or have numbers. You need to know which "app"/channel the program you want to watch, is on. When you're on Live TV, they all have numbers, even some of the ads suggest going to a specific number. You can't punch them in with out numbers.

No universal remotes available either! Keep in mind that this is an RFID unit, to use a IR remote control, you will need to purchase the IR ROKU unit.
This remote is very, very small. Not bad, just your surfing habits may change.

When you're in the "guide" you have a whole bunch of channels to watch that are streaming. Unless you have a DVR unit (None are friendly with Roku), you can't pause some channels. You certainly can't record them either.  You can pay to subscribe to some, which offer a limited cloud DVR. 
Favorites are fun, but I'd like to see folders to make categories in, for other family members.

I want to point out that the Roku unit does "go to sleep" after about 10 minutes of no use or feed. Very nice. Sometimes this is hit

Don't cut the cord too quickly!

Just bought this a few days ago and it keeps dropping connection every several minutes! Everything else in the house is still connected and working great. This one is defective!

Roku streaming stick 4K has connection issues!

Im having a very hard time with the remote it will not go left with the arrow so annoying and I just missed my window for an exchange on October 4th. I did get a protection plan but since I ordered online and it's been almost 4 months I don't have a receipt omg it's ridiculous  trying to file a claim so I cannot recommend at all not today!!  Please help!!
