I came to the property with high expectations once I got there everything seemed nice then I see the hotel is almost empty and they would not change our room... Then on top of that there WAS CONSTRUCTION GOING ON WITHOUT ANY NOTICE WHICH CAUSED A HUGE DISTURBANCE AND I COULD NOT TAKE A NAP OR SLEEP AFTER MY FLIGHT!!! The Assistant Manager Jeffery who acted like he was there to help us but Trust me he was not.... He started to promise us a one night complimentary night since there was NO NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION little did we know once we left the property and got back home He changed up his story ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!! Constantly LIED to us THE ENTRIE STAY SAYING HE WOULD COMP THIS AND COMP THAT BUT HE NEVER DID!!!!
Property is beautiful and staff was great. Traveled with two children who were comfortable in the family pool and beach.

This is an excellent hotel. Stunning art and architecture throughout. Attentive, courteous service given by staff. The pool area is where we spent the bulk of our time and found it to be extremely relaxing. We enjoyed the brunch on Sunday, but food and beverages were not really up to the 5-star rating. Like any high-end resort, everything here is ridiculously expensive (e.g. weak cocktails are $16 and a burger is ~ $22) so if that kind of thing bothers you, you might look elsewhere or plan your meals accordingly. We did find some local restaurants which had better food and the prices were more in line with reality. We did not spend any time at the beach itself, so I can't comment about it, aside from it looked nice, if crowded. We visited in late February and the weather was perfect.
We started with the romantic couples spa treatment and were treated like royalty. Our luggage awaited us in our luxurious and elegant room. The staff called us by name and Jaya restaurant far exceeded our expectations. We are vegetarians and there was no problem finding the most delicious meal for us as well as the best bottle of Sake we ever had. Room service was prompt, and each time we returned to our room, the hotel staff had been there to leave slippers, tidy up, lay out fresh towels. The lovely floral rose arrangement in the lobby was perfection, and the fragrance in the air reminded us of a zen retreat. The courtyard and pool area were pristine and comfortable, and the bar's drinks were among the finest we've had. All in all, this was the best and most worthwhile hotel stay of our lives. We will most definitely return for another vacation to the Setai.
nice hotel, great location, fantastic view. Could use another restaurant. Unfortunately the rooms could use some updating, hotel is about a decade old and the rooms have been untouched with no renovations, nonetheless fantastic high end resort that I would return to again
I had heard the Setai was nice and decided to splurge. It was beyond my expectations. Room was well-appointed, resort was beautiful and not too large, and the service was impeccable (reminded me of when I stayed at some top-rated hotels in Thailand). I got a massage, and for being a massage-snob, I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I would suggest is maybe offering some healthier dining options like gluten-free, organic, free-range beef, etc., but then again I noticed that even at some of Miami's top restaurants, that seemed like a foreign concept, so maybe that's a more regional issue. But even so, a resort of that calibre should stand out and still offer such items. Anyway, I will most definitely be returning as soon as I can!!
The pool and bar are worth it alone, it's much quieter and less busy than the other hotels on collins.
The hotel is in a perfect spot , the spa and the beach are one of my Best in miami It is a great hotel
Hated the little hairdryers in the room For the price of the room, larger, more powerful dryers would have been nice. The food service staff was difficult to track down on occasion. This also goes for the waiters/pool attendants. Otherwise, we had a fantastic experience in this drop dead gorgeous hotel.
