Product Description
Harry Potter Strike Wands at the ready!
Face off against fellow witches and wizards in a magical duel! Cast Confundus Charms, Revulsion Jinxes, Disarming Charms, and other spells from the Wizarding World by rolling matches in the arena. Each match has a magical effect and allows the witch or wizard who cast it to collect matching dice. As the game progresses, players lose dice; duels exhaust even the greatest witches and wizards. The last player with dice remaining wins!

Roll one of your dice into the arena. If you roll a match ,you’ve cast a spell! Follow the directions to see what your spell does. Wingardium Leviosa, for examples, levitates your dice into a tower! |
If you don’t make a match, you decide whether to pass your turn, or press your luck by rolling again! |
Watch out—if you roll an “X” or bounce your die out of the arena altogether, that die is removed from the game! |
Is the arena empty when it’s your turn? You’ve been disarmed! Throw all your dice into the arena! |

The dice feel very light to me. They look good and are a decent size. The arena is super thin plastic, the inner mat is thin foam,...not even neoprene. It all works though. It doesnt really quite feel like Ravensburger exceptional quality though. This couldve been manufactured for any game company....nothing special on quality.
Total ball drop on the instructions. Some dice such as Confundo....dont work correctly for two players. Same as reverse order in Uno though. Official suggestions for house rules would have been nice included in the instruction booklet that covers multiple languages. Confundo is the coolest looking useless die for a two player game.
I question where the "collect one" for Accio gets resolved. If those are the only two dice in the arena..an Accio match, does the player draw from discarded dice or just gets no bonus since Accio gets to "collect one" and there are none in the arena to collect.
Of course anyone can make house rules and you will need to. Also...just write out the orders of dice on index cards and pass them out. It will take everyone playing a few minutes/rounds to catch on. Ravensburger could easily have included little cheat cards. Necessary for new players unless you really enjoy explaining over and over until everyone remembers orders of dice and catches up.
Harsh price for 26 dice and a plastic bowl.
Ok...so...the GREAT part is that it is fun. And more fun with more people than 2. A game can end very quickly...or go along several minutes. There is a tiny bit of strategy such as stacking with the worst outcome for the next player on top....mostly luck.
The HP theme....is really not important at all....just the names of a few spells to match the etchings on the dice. Complicated enough to be enteresting but not bad. Good for a party evening, picnic, some little event.
I dont know how I feel about price/quality. If it gets played a lot, it will be worth it.
There are cheaper games just as fun but original Strike is in this price point of 20 bucks.....this version is better in my opinion.

This Harry potter version is loads of fun 5 different spells and an X, the most fun part of the game is shouting Expelliarmus...however I find myself looking my 7yr old child in the eyes and shouting avada kedavra by "mistake" 😂.
Don't think I'd enjoy the normal strike game just matching numbers but the spell part of the game makes it fun and replayable for around 30mins at a time.
Per appassionati di HP e non :)
